Traditions and Encounters: A Global Perspective on the Past September 28, 2008 This textbook is very informative. It is up-to-date and accurate. The pictures and links are helpful. The chapter sections are divided smartly. The information is readable but not "dumbed down". The book is well made and sturdy. Although it is heavy it contains vast amounts of information. The many contributors to this book did an excellent job of presenting a world view of past history.
